Students are in full swing with almost two months under way in their school year. As a reminder, school counselor Jayne Garrett has stepped into the school counseling position at LAW, and School Psychologist Kathy Kenyon is now supporting the preschool through grade 2 students at Page Hilltop. Mrs. Betsy Dolan remains the grade 3 through 5 school counselor. Free Screening of Documentary: The Empowerment Project”
Created to inspire girls 10 and older. The film documents the incredible journey of a crew of female filmmakers driving across America to encourage, empower, and inspire the next generation of strong women to go after their career ambitions. Driving over 70,000 miles from LA to NY, over the course of 30 days, the documentary spotlights 17 positive and powerful women leaders across a variety of lifestyles and industries. The film challenges the audience to ask themselves, “What would you do if you weren’t afraid to fail?”
When: Tuesday October 27

Ayer and Shirley residents continue to have access to the free counseling referral service previously known as MSPP Interface. The organization underwent a name change and is now the William James College INTERFACE Referral Service. All phone numbers and their website address remain the same. At any time if you need assistance in finding a counselor matched to your own insurance for your child or someone else in your family, and you reside in a covered town such as Ayer/Shirley, call the number below and you will gain access to support and referral within 1-2 weeks. This service has been made possible through the support of the Ayer Shirley Regional School District, the Town of Ayer, the Town of Shirley, Ayer Shirley Education Foundation, Page Hilltop PTO, the Shirley Charitable Foundation, the SHINE Initiative, and private contributors.

At Page Hilltop Students Learn Social Competencies of PH Core Values...
EMPATHY - RESPONSIBILITY - COURTESY - PERSEVERENCE
On October 16th, all students Kindergarten through 5th grade attended an assembly on Page Hilltop’s Citizenship Program in the ASRHS auditorium. The presentation focused on four of Page Hilltop’s core values: Empathy, Responsibility, Courtesy, and Perseverence. Focus on empathy this fall includes classroom discussions about bucket filling and bucket dipping, helping others, being kind, and many more prosocial behavior discussions. You can help continue learning of our first topic of empathy by encouraging your child to be empathetic each and every day to others and their differences.
